The Daily Discipline of Discipleship
Discipleship at Jesus the Good Shepherd is grounded in the personal daily practice of prayer and the reading of Scripture. Everything we do, from gathering on Sundays, to Theology after Hours, to Bible Studies are an effort to bring our members into a life of discipleship, walking with Jesus in a life of increasing holiness and humble obedience to God the Father.
Our ABCD Class, described below, brings us from the question, 'Can We Know God?' to knowing Jesus and finally to beginning the discipline of the Daily Office. Anglicans traditionally say the Daily Office, which includes Morning Prayer and Evening Prayer. Click on the Daily Office online. Small Daily Office Booklets are also available in our Bookstore on Sundays.

Jesus the Good Shepherd ABCD Classes
At Jesus the Good Shepherd, we use a four class series, the ABCD Series, to bring people from the front door to the cross and discipleship.
Whether you have already been baptized and active in Christian ministry or you simply have questions about who God is, the A Class prepares us for baptism and life in the church.
While the A Class introduces us to the sacramental life, the B and C Classes take us deeper into the seven sacraments of the church.
Finally, the D Class prepares us for the discipline of Discipleship, introducing us to the life of daily prayer and the reading of Scripture.
Throughout the church year, we will be given opportunities to grow in the disciplined life of a Disciple of Jesus Christ, our Shepherd and our Soon-Coming-King.
Take a look at the new class schedule and join us as we move deeper into the life of Christ!
